Grooving....providing the most effective groove to keep cattle on their feet.
We have been using this style of groove since 1980. Over the years it has proven to be an effective and economical way to give traction to cattle who are on slick concrete. By the pictures, you can see that it is a little wider than some of the other ways of grooving. This gives the cow a better foothold on the groove while allowing her to walk comfortably on the concrete.
When floors are to slick, cattle are sometimes afraid to move freely around the barn as they would like.
In closed confinement dairies, if alleys are to slick, there is a decreased movement to water and feed and also less action of cows showing heats.
Anytime cattle are afraid to walk on slick lanes it will cost you in lost milk production and cattle injury.
We would be happy to assist you with any questions you may have in regard to the service we provide.
